A stimulus package to corporations.  The government is meant to keep their hands out of industry.  Now they own some banks and at least two car companies.  They continue to spend money to buoy these corporations and do you know where that money comes from?  Our pockets.  They tax us and spend our money to save the businesses that they have a vested interest in.  The only company that was smart was Ford.  They knew what would happen if they took the bailout.  Two years ago I probably would not have bought a Ford, but with their understanding of the ramifications if they took bailout money, they have made it back on my list.  Not that I can afford to buy a car.

I took Federal Student Loans to go to college and understood that I would pay them back but boy is the government in for a surprise when we can’t pay those loans because they’ve taxed us so heavily that we can’t afford to pay them.  Guess I’ll end up in a tent city with the rest of the middle class.

Do you really believe that our forefathers would think our current situation would be ok?  I highly doubt it.  Pres. Washington is probably fuming that this is what he fought the British Monarchy for and Jefferson is most liking waiting for us to wake up and take the government back from the hands of tyranny and make it honest again.  Lincoln is just weeping.

This isn’t what they fought and were President for.  This is wrong.  It is a perversion of everything that this country stands for.  This is what we have fought around the globe to defend against.  Communism.  Socialism.  Fascism.  Take your pick.  We are rapidly heading in the direction of one of those three.  Choose which one you want folks because unless we do something soon we will end up at the gates of one of them.

In my state approximately 50% of the counties have only ONE social worker for the ENTIRE county!  They would normally have 7-10 workers.  Statewide the budgets are being cut for Job and Family Services, the agency that is needed most during this economic crunch time.  It makes no sense.  Trim the fat at the top but don’t layoff your most needed employees.

I’ve heard of counties that are already contracted to build a new building but can’t afford to pay their employees.  One county requires you to bring your own paper if you need court documents printed.  It just makes absolutely no sense!

They are trimming Police and Fire budgets also.  What the hell!  You can’t tell me there are places to cut the fat instead of trim back on the most important services of all.

The ones I really feel bad for are the kids.  If a child is abused at home and tells a teacher or police officer, like they are supposed to, the child has no protection if the parents find out because there are not enough social workers to go around.  They don’t even have the funds to remove the child from the home.  Therefore the abuse continues on the child at an even higher level because the parents know the kid turned them in.

It’s a sad shitty day in our modern society where we can not protect our future, the children, from their abusers.  What the hell is wrong with us?!?  Why don’t we stand as a people to stop this?

We need to put aside our petty differences and take the governments back and place them in the hands of the people.  I’ll say it out loud right here right now:

Learn Mr. President.  Learn from the past.  Learn from our forefathers.  Stop this current insanity.  Heed the words of your predecessors. 

For all our sakes, learn from the past before a revolution sets this county on end.

Yet nobody seems to be listening.  The fascist/liberal (take your pick, none of them are unbiased) media seems to just enjoy antagonizing people.  We can’t stop paying our taxes because most corporations handle that now, so the real question is:

If the tea parties don’t get there attention, what does?

Simple answer.  Don’t reelect the dumbasses that are already in DC.  We the people no longer have representation in DC with the existing form of government.  When was the last time a the population truly had a say in the way things are handled?

Let’s say President Joe Shmo wasn’t doing the job that he was appointed for and the population knew it.   How do you remove him?  You can’t.

Impeachment proceedings go through Congress.  When was the last time Congress listened to the people?

Hell folks the President of the United States is the Commander in Chief of all military forces.  In the military you can be written up and punished for adultery.  Congress couldn’t even impeach Clinton.  What the hell does that say to the people. 

NO ONE in DC gives a rat’s ass about anyone but themselves.  The corporations own this country.  Pure and simple.  Stimulus.  What a load of crap.  Let’s give more money to companies that can’t run themselves.

Government has NO right to interfere with business.  Pure and simple.  The only way is through the SEC which is only meant to watch for illegal trading practices.

So back to the original question and answer.  Is not reelecting people a real and viable option?  For giggles lets say that we live to the ripe old age of 70 on average.  You can’t vote until you are 18.  That leaves you with 52 voting years.  4 year term in office is 1/12 of that.  Are you willing to waste 1/12 of your voting life?

Tyranny comes in different forms my friends.  What I see in DC is just another form of it.  Why the hell should my taxes, that I’m willing to pay to a degree, be paying for people that live off the system.  I’m not talking about the unemployed.  I’m talking about mooches.  People that do nothing but breed and collect checks from the feds.  Redistribution my ass.  Take that money and fix the levees in New Orleans correctly or increase border security.  Quite dodging the real issues.  Let the economy sort itself out.

In truth I believe that it is going to take mass civil disobedience to fix this government.  It is going to possibly take a military coup to fix the problem so we can restructure and get this country back to the prominence it once enjoyed.  I refuse to point the finger at one President or group of people but I will say this now and quite frequently:

IT IS OUR RESPONSABILITY AS AMERICANS TO MOVE OUR COUNTRY IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION.  WE MUST UNITE AS ONE PEOPLE AND STOP WHAT IS HAPPENING TO THIS ONCE GREAT COUNTRY!

I don’t know about most of you but I’m pretty damn fed up with a lot of what is happening around here right now.  So please hold on as I get this blog up and running and we can have a good old time talking about issues that bother us nowadays.

I plan on this being partial weekly newspaper and a place we can all spout off.  No names, no locations.  Just middle class Americans enjoying our First Amendment Rights.  Heck we might even have guest columnists every so often!
